I checked out the EDrumin going into my Laptop Reaper setup using Steven Slate Drums (free version). I have Reaper open, and can access the SSD plugin (but cant load any presets for some reason), and frankly I have no idea what to do here, havent even heard a single drum sample yet. I've been using an old Roland module for a diy rig. It comes with one very usable kit and all of the realism you would expect from a commercially available product. I downloaded the Steven Slate Drums library, and the Kontakt Player.

I'm using Kontakt 4 in Reaper v3.66 without problems. Similar to other Slate drum software, Steven Slate Drums 5.5 Free offers a similar type product that is 100 free. Once you know this process, you can pretty much route. I never thought that multichannel freeze was the solution, since I was always thinking that I would just get one single WAV out of it without any possibility to work on single instruments. Here's another tutorial for you all, this one focused on the routing of Steven Slate Drums in your DAW. Plus, any further FX and routing would be deleted on unfreezing. Freezing single tracks was even a worse option since I had to keep the MIDI track available all the time in order to unfreeze.
When midway into mixing a song I wanted to change a tom fill, I had to unmute EZD2 and edit the MIDI, then I had to delete my Tom, Overhead, Room stems, create new multiple output, delete everything but Tom, Overhead, Room output, render these three to stems, then delete the three outputs again. When i play the track: 1.) The channel strip shows the left and right meters. So: I have read the entire manual, plowed through the forums, viewed dozens of YouTube videos and still have not found the answer.

Then Activate the library using the SSD Serial Number. I was going to post this in the newbie Reaper forum but have become extremely impatient. This way I got a Wave stem file for each drum part but I also had to delete all the original output tracks or hide them in the TCP/MCP. Start Kontakt standalone, open the Browser / Libraries tab, select Add library and navigate to your top-level SSD folder (the one containing the Steven Slate Drums EXinfo.nkx file). You will find this in Slate Digital subcategory under 'AU Instruments'. For years I’ve been doing “Render track to mono/stereo stem and mute original” – separately for every single EZD2 output track. Please select the 'Instrument' menu to instantiate the SSD Sampler.
